Fire Risk Assessment
Fire safety in the UK is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales and The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. Part 3 of the Act specifies who has responsibility for fire safety in non-domestic premises in Scotland and Part 3 of the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 came into effect on the 15 November 2010.
Under this law, All workplaces, commercial premises, and buildings to which the public have access, must have a fire risk assessment carried out.
